healthy Miniature schnauzer Puppies since 1991
What started as a family project became a lifelong passion.

Our story
We got our first Miniature Schnauzer in 1986 and fell in love with the breed. It’s been Miniature Schnauzers ever since! Their intelligence is so amazing. They nearly speak English, and they certainly understand it! It’s great that they’re non-shedding and have no odor, but the best part is the companionship. They love and protect the whole family. How do you describe a breed that loves your kids so much that they
do bed checks at night to make sure everyone is okay? In 1991, we started raising puppies as a family project. Because we loved the breed so much, raising anything other than the breed standard was out of the question. That’s why we have always raised exclusively black and silver, salt and pepper, and black puppies. Over the years, we have grown partial to black and silver, and black, hence our kennel name, Midnight Schnauzers.
Our mission
Our #1 goal in raising Miniature Schnauzers is to produce healthy puppies. It’s more work than you think. Healthy puppies don’t just happen, they take a ton of time, effort, and responsibility. It starts with keeping our kennel totally clean, protecting from fleas, ticks, and parasites, and performing scheduled vaccinations on our adults and puppies. We also test our adults for over 200 genetic disorders to ensure that we are not reproducing a genetic problem that will cause an illness down the road for your puppy. As a final test, your puppy will be examined by our veterinarian and certified to be in perfect health before he is released to you.
Our second goal is to raise puppies that have an amazing temperament and are well adjusted and ready to take their place in your home. They are loved, handled, and trained for the full eight weeks they are with us. That includes starting on housetraining and obedience training.
We also work to produce excellent conformation in our puppies. When bringing a Miniature Schnauzer into our kennel, we look at coat, head shape, height, weight, and body length. Then we selectively breed our adults to ensure the best possible conformation in our puppies.
Another of our goals is to provide our customers with the best possible experience adding a puppy to their family. Besides getting to work with these amazing Miniature Schnauzers every day, my favorite part of raising puppies is bringing puppies and families together and getting to watch it all happen. We keep you updated with pics, progress reports, and personality updates from the day the puppies are born. If you’re able, we love for you to come meet the puppies, as well as the parents, when the puppies are 5-6 weeks old. It’s an excellent chance for you to bond with your new puppy so you aren’t a stranger to them when it’s time to go home. There’s nothing like watching a puppy excitedly greet her new owner on pick-up day!!
